Back to school and a peek at my Disney costume...

Goodness, what week...

and it's not even over!

Getting kids back to school is a lot of work.

Doing so while also trying to get 7 people ready to go to Disneyland-

it's wearing me out.

Anyway...

Little B-man started preschool a couple of weeks ago.

3 more of my kids started school this week.

D-Man started the 4th grade:

 I had a very mild meltdown yesterday when I full on

realized that I am the parent of a FOURTH GRADER.

How did that happen??

(That picture makes him look really short.  He's really not abnormally small)

 H-girl started 3rd grade.

She WAS really excited, even though she looks very nervous.

She got the same teacher that D-man had last year,

and she was glad about that.

S-girl started 1st grade-

one of the hardest grades for me to send my kids into without crying.

Something about seeing your tiny little 6 year old walk away from you-

knowing they will be gone for over 6 hours every weekday.

*sniff sniff*

No sadness from her, though!

Nothing but happy and ready.

She LOVED it and loves her teacher.

They all had great first days of school,

which is always good to hear.

The only one NOT in school yet is little B-girl.

She will start Kindergarten after we get back from vacation.

 

It's a transition getting back into the school schedule,

but I am ready for it.

We leave for Disneyland on Friday,

so I shouldn't get too used to the schedule yet!

We will be on vacation schedule for a week! 

Speaking of Disneyland-

I finished up my costume for the Disneyland Half Marathon today!

I had to try it on to make sure it all worked-

so here's a little sneak peak picture taken by my B-man child:
