Almost a week since the husband half-
and we both have mostly completely recovered.
The husband is not so much interested in running anymore right now,
and that is a-okay.
He trained hard for that half marathon.
I think he will do another one- maybe next year.
Right now, he can get back to the gym, weights and other cardio.
The stuff he's used to :).
I have been running some this week.
My left foot still hurts a bit-
pretty sure it's some sort of tendonitis from tying my shoes too tight.
I have started using an alternate lacing style for my shoes
and have been using KT tape on both of my feet.
I am dealing with some peroneal tendonitis on the right one.
(Is it tendonitis or tendinitis? I see it written both ways and just don't know)
Anyhow, it seems to be helping.
Which is good because tomorrow I am getting down and dirty.
For reals.
I did this race last year and it was some filthy fun times.
It's a short 3 mile run...
but with dirty, muddy obstacles.
Women only.
Just a fun day for everyone...
He loves me.
I'm sure of it.
Then next week me and the fam head off to California-
where I am doing the Disneyland Half!
I really love me some race bling-
so I am super jazzed to get not ONE, but TWO medals!
(source)
I'm going Coast to Coast!
Extra medal for doing a race at Disney World and Disneyland in the same year!
Of course, there will be some good ol' Disneyland family fun-
AFTER Labor Day.
We just love Disneyland and this time we have extended family coming!
My parents, brother/SIL and their family, sister and her kids.
So, SO excited!
I am still finishing up my running costume-
I'll post pictures when it's all done!
Happy weekend to you!

You're a racing machine!!! I love it!!! Disney is on my bucket list!!
ReplyDeleteHow fun to go to Disneyland. I'm a little bit jealous! I am in awe at people who make their running outfits. Me and sewing machines don't get along. hahaha
ReplyDeleteSo lucky that hubby did the half with you! Mine won't even come to the races anymore, let alone run them. lol
ReplyDeleteSo many exciting races for you! I'm looking forward to Sept/Oct when there are finally cooler temps around here and more races on my schedule. Can't wait to hear about your adventures!
