8.5 miles before the sun came up this morning!
On the treadmill at the gym again...
because I have become afraid to run alone in the dark.
I was actually a little jazzed to get up at 4:30am-
because I wanted to try out my new shoes that came in the mail!
I have been running for 2.5 years now
and wearing Saucony Kinvara's for almost 2 years.
I haven't loved the Kinvara 3 as much the previous versions,
so I bit the bullet and ordered a pair of Brooks PureConnect.
(after extensive research online).
They are supposed to be comparable to the Kinvara
and so far I really like them.
The only issue after the first run is that they rubbed
against the back of my foot/heel and it's a little red now.
I could always just wear the Kinvara's right out of the box-
no breaking in needed.
We'll see how it goes.
I have also considered the PureFlow and PureCadence.
Anyone run it these?
What do like about them?
I like a light semi-minimalist shoe,
but I am concerned that the Connect is to minimal
for the marathon training long runs.

Happy Wednesday!
I wear the pure cadence and I absolutely adore them! They are my favorite running shoe ever, however since everyone has different feet that probably doesn't do you that much good.
ReplyDeleteThose are pretty shoes! Love new running shoes!

ReplyDeleteI wear the pure connects, I love them, and ran my last 1/2 in them with no feet problems. My plantar fasciitis didn't even flare up. It couldn't hurt to try them on your longer runs.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the Kinvaras but I have never tried the Brooks! I've also noticed that I can't run a ton of miles though on the Kinvara...hmmm
ReplyDeleteI've heard awesome things about the PureFlows and PureCadence, although when I tried them briefly, my Achilles started really bothering me and I didn't have enough time to ease in. Curious to see what you think if you try them!
