A new week...

Last week was a little rough when it came to workouts.
(okay, the last 2 weeks)

I think it was because we had a busy week,
so all of my workouts required me to wake up at 4:45am.
Whatever it was, I was just feeling off,
so I did what I do when that happens...
I ran.
That's what I do when I don't feel like doing anything.
I know it could be so much worse, right?
Still, I need to keep up my goal of cross and weight training.
Need to stay strong and injury free!
2013 Marathon #1 is just 60 days away.

I am looking at another week of getting up well before the sun,
so I am trying to get myself pumped for a new week!

How do y'all find your misplaced motivation?
I need some good "get up and go!" tips.

We did have ourselves some Valentine's fun last week,
but I once again failed to get many pictures of it :).
  B-boy with his Valentine Kabob.
We spent pretty much the whole day at the school
helping out with the class parties and little man was a trooper.
It helped that he got marshmallows on a stick.

The husband and I went out to dinner 2 days before Valentine's.
That's the way to do it- no crowds to deal with.

I got some super awesome gifts from the husband.
He did good:
Some Brooks PureConnects and chocolate.

Yes, that is Wasabi dark chocolate.
The husband and kids were not big fans,
but I found it to be very interesting :).
The chile chocolate was good, too.

  1. your husband did do good. shoes and chocolate...score! 60 days away from a marathon is exciting.. makes me kind of want to do another sooner than next year.

  2. Running shoes? Especially from the pure line? Excellent present.

Wow! That is an early morning workout! Insane. Your dedication is admirable. I have to admit, I think I would just skip my runs. That's why you're a better runner than me!

  3. Sneakers for Valentine's Day? I'm so impressed!! And I'm so impressed with those early mornings... my body is not good at it. I got up at 6am to get a 10 miler in this morning, and I was dragging all day... I need my sleep! :)
